Carol English, Linda Terry Hickam and Pat Wilson, from Huntsville, Alabama are the Rocket City Glass Girls. All have “other jobs” that they will admit sometimes get in the way of their true love, GLASS! Good friends, they enjoy nothing better than working together in their glass studio. What started as an innocent hobby in stained glass about four years ago has developed into a full blown obsession, mostly with fused glass, which is created flat, then heated to high degrees in a kiln, often several times. Using dichroic and unique sheet glass to create fused glass plates, jewelry, wind chimes, mobiles, slumped recycled wine bottles and other art pieces, these talented women now find their work winning aclaim and in demand world-wide.
